San Francisco students participate in mock election
Results Are In and Students Say No to Propositions 4, 6 and 8
Over 6,300 students at 23 public high schools in San Francisco voted last moth in this year's YouthVote Mock Election. Notably, the students rejected Propositions 4, 6, and 8 while supporting Senator Barack Obama for President with an overwhelming majority.
To help make their decisions, the students used customized voter information handbooks, civic engagement curriculum, and a youth-led School Board candidates forum. Full results are available at www.sfgov.org/youthvote.
